Joan Oleck: Writer, Editor, Copy Editor
I'm a New York City-based writer, editor, and adjunct professor. I've written recently about business, parenting, and the environment; and I review nonfiction books. Currently, I'm an editor at I also take on freelance assignments. I regularly edit for Worth magazine and recently have written for several university alumni magazines. In the past few years, I've written for the New York TimesThe National newspaper in the United Arab Emirates, the World Bank's microfinance website, and various business clients.

I've also written a contract book for teens about technology (Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing, Rosen Publishing) and an ebook about the bond firm PIMCO. I've taught writing at New York University since 2008.

I've held editing positions at Business Week, Newsday, The Detroit News, and Restaurant Business.
